Welp, this is my first post in over a year, but it's time to talk about the one thing that unites all men:

MAKING THINGS.

What's more fun than shoving a mid-range speaker in a used coffee can? Shoving a mid-range speaker and a tweeter in a used coffee can.

Me and my roommates decided to install a busted old KLH speaker into this coffee can and I must say it turned out to be a pretty fun project. The back was pretty goofy looking but this thing sounded surprisingly good.

But, what I really don't understand is...

WHY DO DUDES PUT RANDOM CRAP TOGETHER?!

It's like a sixth sense or just some natural phenomenon, but it really is the most rewarding thing on the planet. There's nothing better than sitting in a semi-lit room with other like-minded males, shirtless and showerless, tools in-hand.

Has anyone ever seen a commercial of a tool being offered, and the tool was being directed at female consumers in the video?! Of course not. Why? Because men build things. Whether it be tinker toys or snowmen, we build things.

But, aside from the usual things like woodwork, what on earth drives men to build things like the coffee-cup speaker that we felt so inclined to make? Fortunately, I have the answer. Being a broke college student. Simply rid your personal bank account of any and all savings and you'll be surprised at the wondrous things your brain can conjure up for you to spend time on!

So now we have this cool new coffee cup speaker!

What the heck do we do with it?

Make something, it will brighten your day.

Blogs

Ever wondered WHY people blog? ...Ya, me too. Despite the fact that Americans have too much time to waste (myself as a prime candidate), we have now added into the equation the wonderful world of blogging.

A lot of people are confused on what blogging actually is. But, to be honest, it's really quite simple! See you just write about---nothing. There really is no point.

"But there has to be SOME point or people wouldn't be doing it!"

Correct.

The point of my blog will be to talk about whatever sparks my interest that day! Whether it be potato chips or the color of the little "laser" lights on the laser-tag guns at the kids' play place down the road, it will probably be discussed here.

So, if you would like to join me on my quest to talk about--anything!--then do so! I just want to enjoy God's green earth and pretend it's not as bad as it really is.
